Hello-

Keep reading the posts and I think you'll get some ideas:

-"Trying to sleep" makes insomnia worse, generally- maybe get up and do something where you can't see your girlfriend blissfully sleeping?

-worrying all day about your sleep and telling yourself you need to have 10 hours makes it more likely that you'll not sleep again, reinforcing the cycle. If you stop worrying about sleep for a while, you will most likely get back on track, as it sounds like you are normally a pretty good sleeper.

Anyway- just some ideas. Not worrying about it has helped me a lot. I just tell myself "this, too, shall pass" and let myself get back on track, even if it takes a while. It is hard to do, but worthwhile to try.
