stopping anxiety

I think most of us here, or at least those of us who have been going through this for a long time, have come to the conclusion that anxiety is the culprit from getting poor sleep to no sleep at all, so I thought with all of those wondering how others have quelled their jitters, I'd pass on what works well for me, but those of you who have other suggestions, feel free to post. I don't think there can be too many suggestions, since what works for one person may not work as well for another. I think all these things have been posted somewhere on this board at one time or another, but for those who are still searching, here's a good suggestion. When I feel anxious, I breath from my diaphragm. I am listing this website below because I thought it would stress the importance of breathing. When I was at my worst, I always thought that something as simple as breathing couldn't possibly help, but, actually, over the long haul, it's been my saving grace, over and over again. There are many ways to more deeply settle your nervous system through visualization, but first you have to destress your body. You'll find that you can do that through breathing. Hope this helps some of you.
