Something you might think about in your assessment about how everyone here seems to have long term problems: the reason we came here is /because/ we have long term problems. Pretty much everyone here will have them because only people with long term problems get concerned enough to go to an Internet message board to talk about their problem. There could be hundreds of times more people that have problems that aren't as bad as ours and that just go away quickly, but you wouldn't know it because they don't come here because it never got bad enough for them to come here.

Also, another thing, is that a lot of people who get cured probably don't bother hanging out here for very long to tell people about their recovery. We have some people who do, and I'm extremely grateful for them, but a lot of people probably don't.

So keep in mind when you look at these messages, that you're looking at a very biased sample of the population of insomniacs.
