According to the book "Secrets of Serotonin",
just taking L-Tryptophan won't do the trick.
The problem is that there is a lot of other
stuff floating around in the blood stream
and it tends to crowd out the L-Tryptophan,
which has to get to the brain in significant
quantities to make a difference. This is why
that book offered a special diet to try to
do that. I tried the diet but found that it
didn't work.
