Gadgirl,

Thoughts are things...and these things can be powerful. Losing your cat can definately put you on the defensive when it comes to sleep. We have a family dog that's almost 14...and the day of her passing is not that far away. I'm sure it will crush me because how much I love her.

But not only do you have to deal with the grief and sadness, you have to struggle with your brain's notion that the whole thing is going to wreck havoc your sleep. It's a maddening circle, I know. And when you combine that with the (in)decision to take medications, then it's very difficult to free yourself from the loop. I don't have alot of time to write right now, but I will be posting (with Sandman's permission) the Mother of all posts later this week. It's a condensed version of many of my personal journal entries over the past few months that haven't made it to this board. I certainly don't expect it to appeal to everyone, because many people disagree with my views....but none-the-less, it's the gut-wrenching truth as I see it -- and it's all fallen out on a page. Stay tuned and Best of luck with your sleep , Tom
