CBT is actually a very broad school of psychology that's used to treat depression, anxiety, and a number of other things. What I would do if I were you is to try to work with a doctor who specializes in sleep, who has seen hundreds of patients and their sleep logs and thus has the experience to reassure you about your sleep. I was going to a psychologist who specialized more in anxiety and depression, and while he helped me with anxiety, he just didn't have the experience in the area of sleep and eventually referred me to a neurologist who I'm seeing on Friday.

There are a few professional organizations dedicated to sleep medicine:

American Academy of Sleep Specialists
http://www.sleepcenters.org

National Sleep Foundation
http://www.sleepfoundation.org/sleepcenters/index.php

You could ask them if they use CBT. Also, the books /Say Good Night To Insomnia/ and /The Insomnia Answer/ give you some idea of what CBT is like. There's generally a component of learning about sleep (cognitive) and changing your habits (behavioral).
