Sunday Night Insomnia

Posted by sleepynj on February 21, 2006 at 08:55:57:

My insomnia has improved dramatically since it first started. Most nights I sleep well and feel refreshed in the morning. I look forward to the weekends and recently I have even been able to sleep an extra hour if I want to. It's been great feeling so good again. Nonetheless, I sleep very poorly every Sunday night. I think it's anticipation about work. I have a high position and a lot of responsibility. This doesn't worry me, but I get hyped up getting ready to do my work. The rest of the week, I have been sleeping fine. What's so frustrating is that when you are sleeping well the insomnia nights are even worse. This is so ironic. I am thinking of doing volunteer work on Sundays or joining a hiking club hoping the new activity will tire me out. This is really the only piece that I am struggling with these days. I am able to travel and sleep and do everthing else so life has been amazing. I guess I should simply accept this issue, but so far I am fighting it. I know that is not the right way to go about it. Thanks for hearing me "vent".
