Ok sorry did not realize it was a foreign military, in the USA its all volunteer. But just the same I think that you need to evalutate how this condition effects you both at night and day time. Its best to have this done professionally through a sleep study. but if you have not done it yet take the quiz on the web site, it will help give you some idea of what you may have. The bottom line as to tell the military or not is do you think this will be a problem. Miltary is very stressful especially in basic training, and if you are in Isreal I know that the training will be intense, and I know that your work enviorment will also be stressful. When you are armed and you and others depend on your decisions being alert is important. Not wanting to give you a hard time on this but you do need to think this through. The insomina maybe purely from anxieties about entering the military. If its all from anxietes then get to the root of those fears will let you get past it. If you have some other disorder then that needs to be adressed. I know this is going to be tough for you, so I hope it all works out for you.
