Can't answer any questions about the house. But since your the only one having a problem chances are it isn't the house.
However, waking with dry throat and mouth sounds like you are breathing through your mouth. This could be a sign of a sleep disorder. I suggest you take the sleep test given here on sleepnet to find out if that might be the case.
