Paxil is a Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor
(SSRI). The idea is to increase your rerotonin
level. It's an anti-anxiety drug. Paxil seems to
be the one that most ordinary physicians opt for.
It might be better talking to a therapist
or psychiatrist first before going this route, to
get their evaluation of whether this is something
you need. If anxiety is your problem, most
psychiatrists nowadays believe that cognitive
behavior therapy is more effective than just
taking drugs by themselves.
