I agree that perfection is not possible. I still have bad nights and bad stretches but they don't last long and I can get by. Worrying too much about bad nights just causes them to last longer, and that worry, of course, is what got most of us in trouble in the first place! Most of the time now I am sleeping enough to be very comfortable during the day. I still wake up a lot but I feel okay during the day, and that's what matters to me.
