HI, like I said, yes, until the Zoloft kicked in, they gave me a combination of Ativan + Seroquel. The Seroquel taken alone made me sick but taken in a low dose in combination with 1 mg of Ativan it worked OK. I took that combination pretty much every other night for 6 weeks. I had been at 100 of Zoloft for a couple of weeks when I went to bed one night and fell asleep right away..then it happened again the next night then again and again. I was on vacation at that time so i thought the stress of getting back to normal life would throw me off again....but it didn't.
I take Zoloft first thing in the am, so it doesn't effect my sleep at all. Plus, insomnia and agitation are TEMPORARY side effects of Zoloft, Paxil etc, they only last a couple of weeks if they happen at all. When the meds start working on your anxiety the way they are supposed to, things fall into place.
I'm glad you saw this message, I remember you from last year and saw that youy're still struggling. If your GP isn't very knowledgeable, try a psychiatrist, they know a lot more about dosage of medications and ways to overcome side effects....
