The positivity/negativity is a vicious cycle. Last week I firmly
decided that no matter how badly I slept, I would be positive
from the second I woke up, not even allowing the negativity or
anxiety to blossom in any way. It was amazing. I had probably
gotten 5 hours of interrupted sleep, but I ALMOST felt normal.
When I saw first hand how much attitute mattered, I felt like I
had magical powers. I was so elated from it.I think that's what really started my recovery and my courage to
taper off the pills. Today I had an early meeting so that might
have contributed to my poor sleep last night. This is something
that sometimes happened to me even when I slept normally.
Back then, I would have just thought, "well, I'll sleep well
tonight." Today, it spiraled back into, "I thought I was doing well,
what happened?" thoughts, but I'm trying to get myself back on
track. Boy, when I get through to the other end of this, nothing
will seem impossible to me.
