I went to a sleep clinic too and they told me there was nothing
they could do for me. Try not to be too discouraged. It's very
disappointing that a "sleep" clinic can't help you sleep, but I
guess they can only handle more clinical (ie, instantly solvable)
problems like sleep apnea. I would pour through the posts and
forums here and start collecting information. There are several
books mentioned too that might help. It also sounds like you
already know how to get a handle on sleep (since you've done it
in the past), so dust off those techniques and be patient!
