Thanks for your post and sharing your experience. You hit the nail on the head. I walked away thinking there might not be much that is new, but I appreciated him being honest with me. Of course, I'll do the sleep over, just in case...
There are a lot of alternative healers who truly believe that their method is the one. While they have all helped me to a certain degree, in the end it turned into a struggle when the sleep subject came up, which often made things worse for me. I believe that if anyone had a cure that really worked, it would be on national television. As it is, we have to be patient and loving with ourselves and live a healthy life, keeping in mind that we cannot over stimulate, and learn how to better handle life's complications.
There are certain things I just don't do anymore. Like travel. I don't get anything out of it since my sleep pattern gets worse when I am away from home and then I come back feeling more exhausted than when I left. I do have a certain amount of anger inside of me, though, because it affects my life and I don't like that at all.
I try to focus on those things that are good and am grateful. That keeps things in perspective.
