fsometimes drugs can cause paradoxical reactions---ie the sleep agent in Tylenol PM isd just an antihistamine. It's Benadryl with the Tylenol. The drug uses what is really a side effect as a sedative effect. benadryl can give some people a real hangover in the morning also because it has a long
1/2 life.

Paradoxically, children especially may react to antihistamines by becoming hyper--maybe you have reacted this way instead of having sleepiness.
