I have taken Trazodone for 2.5 yrs. Trazodone has been a lifesaver for me, but it did take me a long time to get a full response. There was so many times I wanted to quit the Trazodone, but I am fortunate to have a very good sleep doctor who worked closely with me and helped me stay on the medication. I know how hard it is to continuously drag through each day. I encourage you to not give up on the Trazodone too soon.
