I've tried Remeron; even a tiny bit made me feel too groggy in the a.m. I've also tried Trazadone, which had the same effect. I'm very sensitive to medications. My sleep doctor gave me Doxepin, which he says can work very well for people with insomnia, but even 1 mg gave me such weird, nightmarish dreams I'm afraid to take it again. I've been doing CBT (had had five sessions already) but haven't seen that much progress. In theory, I'm a great believer in it, though.
