You might find that you can sleep with just the Remeron, might want to give it a try...I sleep great with only 7.5 mg, though that came about after I finally dealt with my sleep anxiety. I can go for about a week without the Remeron, then my sleep breaks down again and I take it for a few days to get back on track.

I am of the same mindset as you...that sleep is the goal, and medication is a means to an end. I think that people are too hard on themselves about the medication issue. There is no hard evidence that some of us insomniacs don't have some kind of dysfunction in the sleep area that requires medication. Why is it okay to take meds for headaches (which Americans do in large amounts) but not okay for sleep? I just don't get that attitude.

Anyway, thanks for sharing.
