Remeron is in generic form (mirtazapine) and is very cheap. I did gain about 10 pounds on it,
unfortunately, but it really helps me sleep...I haven't found anything else that helps as much. I am currently taking Lexapro as well, but the Remeron does the trick for sleep, only at 7.5 mg. I don't take it every night, but there's a huge difference when I do take it. Hope that helps. Side effects are different for everyone... over 50% of people get very drowsy on Remeron, but I don't...much fewer gain weight like I did.
