Well, how about a therapist who can do cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with you? You can find a social worker who isn't a doctor at all! :) It's best to get medication from a doctor, since you don't know how it might affect you if you take someone else's prescription. CBT might work well with you since your issue seems related to grief.
