Gad and Cairo,
Thanks so much. It's so easy to forget any progress I've made and just disinigrate into hopelessness. Then I start the panic of "should I find a therapist? Should I try another medication? Am I doing the whole CBT thing right? Am I being disciplined enough about it? Should I do more research or try not to think
about it at all?"

I think I'm also in a difficult place with the medication. I want to cut the ambien out of my routine and just take the doxepin, but I'm at the point where the 2 together don't always work and if they do, it's still not a full night's sleep. So if I ditch the ambien, I know I won't sleep well - at least for a while - and I'm not ready to let go of what little sleep I do get. Sometimes I feel like I should have a degree in pharmacology with all the combinations I've tried. I'd like to have a professional help me map out a plan, at least with the meds, but I find that most of them don't know more than I do about it.

But you're right - somehow or other I always get myself through it and find the silver lining, which is something I'm glad I'm capable.

Thanks again - as always, you guys are my rock.
