Posted by Noliro on October 20, 2006 at 18:00:56:Hi, I have had insomnia for at least 10 years and just hit another really bad patch. Glad to read your stories here.
Today I saw my family doc about sleep. No real options. Starnoc has been discontinued here in Canada. I am very afraid to try any of the pams as I was addicted to them earlier and had a terrible time getting off them.
I believe that Tom is right and that medicines are not the answer.
I came across another answer however and wonder if any of you have tried it. It is called David Pal by Mind Alive and is an audio-visual entrainment device. Sound and light. anyone heard anything negative about such a device? It also helps migraine which I also have.
I have used binaural CDs and they work sometimes for me. Right now I am highly stressed.
I really feel that my brain has been messed up and that a little help may be in order. I do not want to take medications but sometimes feel desperate.
Any advice?
