Posted by rebetzin on March 02, 2007 at 03:11:20:New here. What have you found to be most effective in telling yourself when you can't fall asleep the night before an important event or a day that you want to be able to function well? (Something along the lines of what's the worst that can happen?) This is my worst problem with regards to insomnia. When nothing is doing the next day I usually don't have problems. But I feel like this can take over my life and I've seen other posts echoing that. Because my problem usually happens at these times, I don't mind taking OTC medication to fall asleep, since it's only sporadic. The problem is that I am pregnant now so I can't take anything. Knowing that I don't have the option of taking something also makes the anxiety worse. Suggestions please!
