I still don't sleep as well if I am up past my reglar bed time (which is around 9 pm) especially if I have to get up the next day for work or something. I'm not sure I will ever sleep as well, since I seem to have a pretty fragile system, but I usually sleep well enough to get by now.
At first though, when my recovery was new, I wouldn't sleep well for DAYS if I stayed up past my bed time. This will gradually get better if you don't worry about it too much. Early on, I just decided that it had to be something good if I was going to disrupt my sleep for days. Now, it's usually only one night, and it's bearable, and I know I'll sleep well the next night. Again, patience is in order with insomnia recovery. It takes months if not years to really get back on track completely.
