I think you might be better off searching the archives of this forum for stories of real-life people who have been able to beat insomnia. I know that has (and is) helping me a lot as I struggle with this problem. You will find accounts from people of all ages, some with health problems, who have been able to improve their sleep.

I learned that even if I don't feel well the best thing to do is to go on with my life. You can do it too and you probably have been doing it already. Look back on your own experience and remind yourself of it when you start feeling anxious. As someone on this board wrote, the worst thing that will happen is that you will fall asleep!
