Also, if your sleep doctor has not even SUGGESTED CBT then you are in the wrong place. You have a clearly identified stressor (worrying about work) and the ability to sleep fine on weekends. Find a book on CBT or a therapist who knows what he/she is doing and use it to change your thinking.
When I first started recovering, I couldn't sleep during the week either. I just reminded myself that I would survive and that the weekend was only __ days away. Gradually I got to a place where I slept great every night.
