Sleep restriction?

Posted by echo tech on February 23, 2007 at 10:58:46:

My sleep dr. has just suggested I start sleep restriction, I tried this about 2 years ago, my initial problem was onset insomnia, about a week into the sleep restriction I was falling asleep easily, but then I started waking up to early and not being able to get back to sleep. I am really conflicted about trying this again, I've read both good and bad results for SR on this site, and I really would try anything to end this. If anyone has any insight I would appreciate some feed back.
