Regarding sleep restriction,I think it can work for some people, though it didn't for me. Many CBT therapists who specialize in sleep swear by it. Here's the thing, though. The longest follow-up study is only six months, which in my view is basically meaningless, because who knows if people started to sleep better because of SR, or because of numerous other factors too elusive to quantify. Personally, I hated it, thought it was torturous and in fact, it made me more anxiety-ridden.
