I really believe if you don't think/feel you're depressed then your not. Don't let someone else, doctor or no doctor make you believe you are. If you feel happy, motivated etc etc then I really doubt your depressed. I did psychology at uni and worked in the mental heald field for 5 years, so trust me but you'd know. You'd at the very least have some down days or cry for no reason or feel anxious etc... insomnia is not only a symptom of depression. Many people suffer from it who are happy in their lives.
