My feeling is that your brain "switch" is just hooked on the lunesta, plus you have tolerance to it. How long did you take it for? You will have to start a Lunesta reduction plan. Do not stop taking it suddenly. I had to do this too and over time the brain adjusts. Take half your dose every second night...and so one until it is out of your system and the brain has adjusted. You may have to find something to use in place of Lunesta for the nights you reduce...I used gravol 2 x 50 mg. Dramamine in U.S. Or ask your doctor for help with a different prescription med that you can taper off of easier. Gravol might not work in your situation. Good luck, you can do it.
