If it really is blood rushing to your head...and not just some anxiety...then maybe tell your doctor. It could be high blood pressure. I complained about my fast heart beat that I could feel for 2 years. When I went to bed, it just pounded. They gave me antidepressants, told me it was anxiety. But new doctor gave me blood pressure medication and now I feel better. Still can't sleep, but at least I don't feel the pounding. Never had blood rushing to head feeling though.
