I have had increasing insomnia for 10 months. It started when my baby was 6 months old. He sleeps so it is not him! I will lie there awake. I started w/ Tylenol PM every nite. Went to my doc for workup and I am healthy. Then tried Ambien, Lunesta but it didnt seem to help. I have a lot of anxiety because of taking care of my baby + twins age 4. I stay at home w/ them & I love em but they drive me crazy! so it is hard to unwind. I started on .25 mg Klonipin, went to .5 then to 1 mg. That concerned me. So my doc changed me to Xanax as needed during the day for anxiety and said to try the Ambien at night. The Xanax makes me feel kind of out of it. I dont even know if it is helping w/ anxiety. I still cant sleep. I am really confused about what I should be taking. I have been to my primary doc, and my OBGYN (because it started post partum). Have most of you gone to see psychologists for the insomnia? Or psychiatrists becasue they are they ones who can prescribe medicine? I am confused and I think worrying about it just makes it worse. I keep reading about addictive qualities to drugs like Klonopin and Xanax. Any advice/ comments would be appreciated
