I'm also a new poster, started with my insomnia 6 weeks ago after not sleeping during 48 hours of traveling back home from a vacation.
I cannot describe better my feeling. Just sleeping there, dazed, empty mind - but the switch stays on...for days...

did you manage to get some sleep eventually?
