Yup, walking is easy and gentle. The kindest way to ramp up your exercise. It's what I went for when the insomnia started. I still do about 45 minutes 4x/week. I added skipping to get my heart rate up and break up the monotony of walking. Now that it's winter, I mostly skip. Be patient and persistent...it takes some co-ordination! (I do 5 rounds of 100 skips, with a break between each, and I stretch my calves before and during.)
