Thanks for the reply. I feel rested when I wake at 2-3am, but I know it won't last me through the day and that, I suppose, creates the anxiety. My original problem started a few years ago after a long holiday break in another time zone where I was staying up late every night. When I came back to my workday schedule I found that I couldn't fall asleep and that created a load of anxiety. That cleared up after a few months, but it seems that I "broke" my mechanism for uninterrupted sleep. I have had several sleep studies and some show that I might have mild UARS, but others said that I didn't have any breathing related arrousals, so I sleep 2-3 hrs. wake and do it again. My goal is to break away from all the baggage and anxiety regarding sleep that I have built up over the last 3 years.
