After being off Ambien CR for a year and doing ok I had a couple of
nights at two separate times where I "had to sleep" and foolishly
dug out some left over Ambiens. Despite putting me out fast how
quickly the side effect of being "blue" popped up along with being
tired anyway the next day. Bad nightmare also. The point here is
once being off a med one has to guard against falling in to the trap
of fooling ourselves about how great a med was before. There
were reasons we gave it up!
