Thanks for your post, it confirms that I am not crazy and not in need of psychiatric help like my MD seemed to think if my insomnia didn't improve. LOL. Your post describes me so well but my question is if this is something that eventually levels out or if this is my destiny for the rest of my life? I am afraid of what your answer will be. I have been plagued with this insomnia thing for the last 9 months now. My best nights (without Ambien) I would maybe get 3 hours sleep in a row, then up, fall asleep again, up and so on. With the Ambien Cr I usually sleep straight through the night but after taking it a couple of days it makes me feel like crap. Please let me know what your research has said about how long this insomnia usually continues. Thanks
