it can definately be improved...

the best so far for me is to get slumber as I was saying and still wake up 2-3 times per night but NOT go to the toilet and go straight back to sleep and wake up resonably refreshed in the morning..
this is aided by the fact that I can get out of bed at 7am to start my day and quite often it is the last hour or so of sleep that actually saves my bacon and enables me to function well.
Now...if my job/business required me to get out of bed by 5am...I would be in trouble.!

The worst it can get is waking up more like 10 times at night and not being able to get back to sleep for half an hour at a time, tossing and turning and with a sore back...getting a hot head and cold feet...and then getting up ragged and breathy and exhausted..in the morn.
So far I have been able to stay on the former and even though I still wake up it is less times and with(I know i emphasize this) with all important SLUMBER and the ability to fall straight back to sleep.Slumber to me also means that I sink into my mattress rather than sit hard on top of it...

this achievement I put down to not eating tyramine containing foods before bed...
not eating 2 hours before bed (though a caffeine free tea with milk and two sugars befoe bed is fine..)
...and forcing myself to have a few eggs for breakfast..
Eating a breakfast stopped me waking up hot and sweaty which I understand was because of some sort of delayed low blood sugar thing from my inadequate (fruit) breakfast..
...As aforementioned, potassium citrate capsule (100mg) with that late cuppa gave me the slumber and I am not sure whether it is the alkalising component of potassium or its ability to feed the adrenals?
I believe that sleep maintainence insomnia can be resolved especially if it (like most people) is age related...
I am currently looking at a hard to eradicate hidden kidney yeast affliction as the possible cause..or a deteriation (a natural consequence of age)of lung function as poss. causes
