I'm glad to hear you're doing better. You've got the right idea giving it several weeks.

In the beginning, I was so bad that I didn't even know the Lexapro was doing me any good for a couple months. After that, I started to feel better and thought I would go off the Lexapro. Well, my anxiety came back with a vengence, and sleep became a problem again.

The effects of the Lexapro are very subtle for me. I still have anxiety sometimes, but I don't obsess over the sleep nearly as much. It makes it much easier to drift off to sleep because my thoughts wander to other subjects other than sleep, like they did before the insomnia.

I'm at 30mg now. I was OK at 20mg but I feel better at 30mg. 10mg does very little for me. As I improve over time, my plan is to very slowly reduce the dosage.

One last thing, I've also been taking 1.8g of Omega 3 fish oil, vitamin B complex, magnesium, and calcium supplements each day which together seem to really help with my mood.

Keep us updated on your progress.

Jim
