anxious yawning/sighing

Posted by electracat on December 05, 2008 at 20:21:10:

hi,

i rely on a small nap each day, to get through the day. It often only lasts a second or two, and refreshes me.

Lately, when i lie down to nap i've been (almost involuntarily) heaving a big 'sigh', which *sometimes* refreshes me (?), but often refreshes me only for 10 minutes or so, and then i still need a nap. I can't seem to stop the sighing/yawning, though, and it interferes with *really* sinking into sleep and relaxing.

I'm trying to stop it, but again, it seems to be almost involuntary. Does anyone have this, and is it anxiety or habit that's causing it? I'm not able to take a proper nap (even if it's 5 seconds), lately, and then i get too tired in the evening. Ugh!

(i can't debate the appropriateness of the nap...It's necessary to me, and if i could get a good night's sleep i would--i'm working on it!)

thanks!
