New here and can't sleep

Posted by jennygump on November 26, 2008 at 07:00:44:

For the last couple of months I have been so tired when it's bedtime, I fall in the bed, sleep for about 30 minutes to an hour, then wake up (wide awake) and can't fall back asleep. I usually end up trying on my own for about an hour or two, then I take NyQuil or Tylenol PM. Of course the next morning, I'm groggy and dragging out of the bed. A couple of years ago (going through a divorce then), my doctor prescribed me lunesta. I liked it, but again, it left me groggy the next morning, not wanting to get up. Has anyone else had this problem and can provide suggestions on what to try?
