When I have an anxiety attack, I first try to relax and take deep breaths. Think about someplace nice (mine is the beach). My biggest problem is doubts and negative thoughts that come in my head. For example, I am a bad mother. I sit down (or think in my head) of things I have done that contradict that statement. (I provide my kids food, clothes, shelter, I hug them daily, I tell them I love them often, etc.) This helps me tremendously. I don't know of a way to make it go away altogether, I just take it one step at a time. On those rare occasions that it's so bad that relaxing and battling the negative thoughts don't work, I take a Kolonapin (prescribed by my doctor), and I don't do anything (ANYTHING) until it kicks in. It definitely mellows me out and I can do the other things I listed above. Good luck!
