Posted by newmom08 on November 26, 2008 at 16:40:58:

I was a normal person till a few months back ..because I was a major worrier , I got into this mess. I always seek the easy way out and this time I am in a major fix not knowing what to do..I am a weak minded person and I feel I do not have the inner strength in me to get through this. What do I do? Can someone who has recovered suggest some strategies..

I have been taking nortriptyline 75 mg that does make me very drowsy but I need to relax to fall asleep..So basically it doesnt serve the purpose.I do not want to up the dosage coz it makes me very sick..could someone advise which of the following should I do..
a)take anti anxiety medications plus do CBT
b)dont take meds, only CBT

Does anyone have experience with any anti anxiety meds and does it really work?

Please someone answer my queries. I am losing my health, my relationships and more importantly my happiness.
