CBT is cognitive behavoural therapy.

You can try things like: tell yourself that you are going to bed and NOT going to sleep (this relieves the anxiety associated with not sleeping). I haven't done sleep restriction - not intentionally, but what has been helping me lately is abdominal breathing, I count "one" as I inhale, and then say "relax" as I exhale. I do this until I get to "four" and then repeat. This is helping me more than I thought possible....
