I dont think so. I think you end up sleeping worse. I have extreme anxiety and insomnia for 20 yrs whre i cant work. For me, an 8 hr mountain climb is way more helpful than any drug. Hiking didnt help me like this when my anxiety was not so bad so hiking might not be as dramatically helpful for people with moderate insomnia. The hike has to be quite intense and long. walking, biking, jogging dont help me but i do them a few hours each day.
