I take Remeron and sleep great on it. Last night, I went to bed at 8:30 and got up at 7 this morning. Without it, I simply don't sleep that well. So my answer would be YES. As long as I didn't have intolerable side effects, I'd take meds to sleep.

I feel grateful that meds have worked so well for me. Meds are not the enemy. But until a person deals with anxiety over sleep, meds won't work, so do both if you need to. If the anxiety goes away and you no longer need meds either, great. But for some of us, medication is necessary.
