hi there Wolv. Well, i read conflicting reports about the switch too.
I think my Psychiatrist i just paranoid about Serotonin Syndrome, so he does the couple of days wash out. Also, it depends on the SSRI. Some of them, like Lexapro, has a longer half-life than Luvox for example, so it may need more time to get out of your system. Best take the advice of a medical professional, not me :/ I think you are doing the right thing giving the SSRI's a go. I realise that there are a lot of cons that go along with the pro's, and its all good and well to want totally natural sleep, but i still think being on an SSRI is better than downing benzos everynight. And sometimes there is no other choice. for me things had gotten so bad that i felt like ending it all, so i had no choice but to try the SSRIs, and they did save my health, totally. you never know what might happen 2 years down the track... life circumstances will have changed, you will have given your adrenalin system a break, and you will have broken that nasty cycle of worrying about sleep. Goodluck dude! :D
