According to Deepak Chopra in his book "Restful Sleep" you are not to get out of bed if
awake, place yourself in nature's hands and lie there quietly while not letting it bother you
that you are awake. He says "the mere act of remaining motionless with your eyes closed
....actually provides the body with significant benefits." I think that once a person adopts this
in many cases they actually fall asleep as they are not stressing about not sleeping. If not,
you still are benefiting according to Chopra.
