Hi jackson,

The main difference is benzos are addictive within a month of using it whereas SSRI’s technically are not. But with SSRI’s you need to taper down the dosage slowly as you “might” get withdrawal symptoms. Not everybody gets withdrawal symptoms and the degree might vary between individuals. Benzos definitely are addictive and withdrawal from benzos is life threatening.Also with benzos the longer you use it, the more you need to increase ur dosage.

But with SSRI’s atleast withdrwal is not that dangerous. Have heard thoughit is difficult to get off from Paxil and Effexor and withdrwal symptoms are severe.
